How we help
Smart and Skilled
Smart and Skilled and Apprenticeships and Traineeships are programs underpinned by high standards of training, strategically targeted funding and industry-developed training packages.
VET offers government-subsidised training (including apprenticeship and traineeship qualifications) for courses in targeted priority areas. This includes courses from Certificate I to associate diploma level as identified on the NSW skills list.
There are more than 460 Smart and Skilled-approved training organisations across NSW. These include community and private organisations and TAFE NSW. VET assures the quality of the training providers contracted to deliver training funded under Smart and Skilled.
VET identifies the qualifications industry is looking for and works with employers and industry to adapt VET offerings to meet emerging skill needs.
